Islands of Drokvira Drokvi11

There are roughly 40-45 islands in the archipelago of Drokvira. Each one with their own unique climate and habitat. Some are volcanic, others are snowy, some are deserts, and others grassland and plains, or forests and jungles. Each island is unique in its own way. So let's see if we can get through this quickly!

Nine Major Islands

Drokvira: The true paradise. This island seems to have a little bit of everything, having large grasslands, deserts, mountains, volcanoes, snowy alps, forests, jungles, taigas, tundras, and more! The island itself is roughly 10,000 square miles, or 6,400,000 acres. The temperate and tropical forests are both about 2,000 square miles each. The desert and grassland are both about 1,000 square miles. The taiga and mountains are both about 1,500 square miles. And the volcano, named Ragronyol, or "Angry Fire God" in the tongues of the Auroras, is about 5,000 feet tall, and ten miles wide. The volcanic area cover about 100 square miles, having a warm lava covered area. There is also an area the center of the island which houses a variety of environments for the rest of the 900 square miles.

Hishimae: A temperate, north american style biome, with rough forests and large mountains. This is directly to the west of Drokvira. This is about 2/3rds the size of Drokvira, as well. This island is well known for having been the griffon homeland, home to the griffon empire before the curse was placed on it.

Fuyu: A winter wonderland. This is a beautiful, snowy, icy, mountainous plain, with white leaf trees and frozen over icy volcanoes.

Bůhohně: Large, dense jungles cover this land. Second to Drokvira, it has the most diversity and life of any other island.

Yutakana: This has a very similar terrain to the serengeti savanna, with a multitude of life, and extremely hot environments. There are the occasional forests, and many rivers and watering holes to chose from.

Hir'ula: The largest desert island. Has many great temples that have been set up by previous civilizations, and is famed for treasure.

Dimori: Mix of a southern north american grassland, mixed with a bit of forest.

Aakba: Much like the Asian forests, this island has a very humid environment

Bergenvolcan: Commonly known as the fire island, and the main homeland of the phoenixes. Large, rocky mountains, with little vegetation flourish on these lands. Littered with acacia trees, this is a harsh climate to creatures not associated with the fire element. Most well known for its large volcanoes. It is even home to the largest volcano in Drokvira.

Minor Islands

Bergloren: Bergloren is a small swap like island. There are tons of trees all over the place, but despite the island being small, it is winding and maze like. It is easy to get lost in Bergloren, unless of course you are one of the creatures that have adapted to these swamplands. There are many creatures that live there that blend in, and are designed to ambush. Visitors to this island who are unfamiliar with the area are most likely to become victim to the inhabitants. There are safe places though; among the tree tops and inside large hollows of the towering trees tend to serve as protection from the hazardous creatures. This island is defiantly not a tourist attraction, but a home to some of most strong and daring of creatures of Drokvira.

Sentudi: A typically flat island full of greens and meadows. The tends to inhabit more friendly creatures, but of course there are still large herbivores; that live there to devour the luxurious lush that covers the island. They are usually territorial to newcomers, threats to their supply, and things that they don't recognize. Other than that of course, the island is generally peaceful. It is also a good supply for herbs, so healers and botanist commonly visit and/or live there. They must also be aware of the few poisonous plants; such as the Doku tree, with bark poisonous to the touch, and Komu fern, if ingested will make you nauseate and feel light headed.

Amanzi: A very rustic in appearance island, with large redwoods and rivers. Well known for the amount of rain it receives. Also well known for being the home island of the tribe of Za'ori, one of the only remaining civilizations. Also one of the largest of the lesser islands.

Vahşi: Small island composed of abandoned cities and small mountains.

Mozlakov: Very rocky island, with very little vegetation and life. Very rich in all kinds of precious metals, ores, and other valuable non organic material. However, it is a very difficult terrain to live in.

Parsula: A medium sized island with leafy, deciduous forests that span for miles. Has a large lake at the center.

Yelviik: Corrupted land, still facing some of the lesser effects of the curse, they are now a highly toxic island, and unless you are adapted to that kind of environment (Via the poison element, such as chimeras, dragons, etc), then staying here will put a serious toll on your body.

Uegua: Known as the village of a thousand lakes, this medium sized island is home to the Lakes of Aru, named justly after the seventh queen of the Auroras. Each of these lakes is sparkling, and some say they have a healing energy. The rest of the island that isn't covered in lakes is covered in a mix of deciduous and coniferous forest.

Kinoshima: This land has very fertile soil, and was known as the motherland of agriculture. Even after the curse and purge, this land still flourishes beautifully, and many unique plants and animal species can be found on this island.

Regalion: This desert island is just as it sounds. Cold at night, and hot as hell in the day time. Many great sand dunes rise up around here, with the occasional oasis.

Sandeiya: Commonly referred to as "Thunder Plains", this island is a very large grassland, with almost no large growing trees or vegetation. The reason it is called thunder plains, as you might have guessed, is because this island commonly gets large storms, that can last for days at a time.

Thilykó: Twin sister to Arseniko. Legends say that a long time ago, during one of the Blacksoul raids, there lived two Auroran siblings, Arseniko and Thilyko. They would use these islands as a get away. They say that one day, one of the siblings disappeared. Out of grief, the last sibling threw themselves from a cliff. Now, someone on the island, there is a mysterious shrine, with the stature of the sibling who disappeared. There are also the stone statues of dragons littered all over the island, as well as of other creatures.

Arsenikó: Twin brother to Thilyko. A long time ago, they say that Arseniko and Thilyko, two siblings, had started a great war. In the end, Thilyko was slain, and Arseniko committed suicide due to grief. They say you can still find Thilyko's statue somewhere on the island, as well as a great shrine built in their honor.

Táinka: Known as the crystal island, this island is well known for having large, limestone caves, that are covered in crystal. Various crystals can also be found all over the island.

Zelaia: This is probably one of the smallest islands that isn't a lesser island. For some, strange reason, the only things that grow on this island are bonsai trees, bamboo, and eucalyptus. As expected, this island is home to many Koala and Panda bears. Is unnaturally flat and plain, as well, and the grass is very short, so it's difficult to graze.

Gurun: This mountainous, icy island is about half the size of Hishimae. Aside from the island of the Blacksouls and Drokvira, this island was hit the hardest when the curse swept through. Very little life remains here. There are many, snow covered ruins here, as well, and some say the snow has an unnatural feel to it.

Pakiko: Known as the supersized island, this island is home to creatures that are nearly somewhere between two to five times their normal sizes. It is one of the larger minor islands, and is commonly home to things like dragons and hydras. Has a mix of forests and swamps.

Suðrænum: Holy light island, is another word for this. This island is well known for having many holy creatures, and being virtually untouched by demonic, unholy, or dark creatures. Has the largest waterfall in the archipelago, as well, Unicorn Falls. It is almost 3500 feet high, and roughly 5600 feet wide. This island is also said to be homed to the famed Fountain of Youth. Mostly a mix of jungle and forest. Sometimes, the trees will glow with mythical energy.

Horro: Similar to Pakiko, this island seems to be super sized. However, its terrain is very unique, in the sense that one half is split desert, and the other half is tundra. No one is quite sure how this is possible, but it is. Usually home to many great beasts, as well.

Qui'eski: This is a small, tropical island that is home to a fissure volcano, and has many hot springs all throughout the jungles.

Shivera: Known more formally by the name "Mirage" because of how this island floats, this island has a variety of beautiful rivers that run right down the side of the island, into the ocean down below. Below the island is an earthy, stable rock, that is perfect for flying animals searching for a home. Underneath the floating earth is moss, which clings down the island until it touches the very tip of the ocean. No one is quite sure why this island floats.

Jjali: Known as the Island of the Damned, this island is said to be the home of many mythological greek beasts, such as Medusa, the sphinx, the chimera, hydra, and many more. Just like Vahsi, has many abandoned monuments and temples, but these aren't really abandoned, and are actually home to these ancient monsters. Has a varied environment, between jungle, forest, and grassland. One of the bigger minor islands.

Omas'hi: With very large plateaus, this is a very dry island, but once you get around the plateaus and mountains, at the center of the island is an oasis, with many flowering plants and trees, and lots of thriving life.

Silvenair: This is another large island, that has a variety of mysterious machinery all over it. It has many rising hills, mountains, and forests, and everything seems to be much larger than usual. Alongside mythical creatures, this is also the home of the dinosaurs, as many great dinosaurs can be found here.

Nog'ro-a: Known as the high rise island, or the island in the sky, this is a great island that is many feet above sea level, with great trees along the rocks that raise into the sky. It is small width, but the vertical height is quite great, with the rocks of the island forming great ledges and areas to live on in the clouds. Many large vines attach from the ledges.

Vasma: A great, beautiful island with lots of flowers, taigas and jungles. At the center of this island is a great lake, the largest lake of all the islands, with an incredibly depth, that goes far below sea level, said to go all the way down to the ocean floor. This great lake has many smaller passageways, and a great underwater city.

Cerlues: Probably one of the stranger islands, this is a medium sized island. The peculiar thing, though, is that the island is actually a fallen meteor, that is said to have hit the planet millions of years ago, far before the creation of Drokvira. It is also said to be the oldest island within the archipelago, with Drokvira being the oldest naturally occurring island. While grass and other things have grown on the island, there is very little shrubbery, and all trees that grow on the island have a strange, glowing hue. In fact, all life that originates from this island seems to glow.

Decibir: This misty island is mysterious as it is cold. Unlike other islands, this tundra island has a very flat land, with a few forested areas. It is always covered in a thick layer of fog, so caution is usually taken when coming near this island. Half the time it is covered in snow, and the other half it is flat grassland with swampy rivers, when the ice melts, that is. The fog stays year round.

Loakis: Island of magic. This is a taiga environment that is said to have a mystical magical power, and that being here can help to increase your magical power. The island is also home to magical pollution, so you may experience minor side effects while treading here.

Lesser Islands

Uerieko: A black nightmare. This island resides much farther away than any of the other islands, on the outskirts of the archipelago. Home of the Blacksouls. Little is known about it, because the island itself remains cursed, even after the curse on the rest of the archipelago has been lifted.

Jesu: This is a tiny, volcanic island, that was formed rather recently. The air is filled with sulfuric clouds, and any water found on the island is highly polluted. Hard to survive on. Volcano is a highly active stratovolcano, about the same size as Cerro Negro.

Amati: The smallest of the lesser islands, and thus being the smallest of the islands on Drokvira, Amati is home to the Shrine of Mira, a small shrine built for the dragon goddess. Little is known about the shrine, or Mira, for that matter. The island itself is also rather peculiar, as the leaves of the trees will randomly turn to a variety of gemstones, and all venomous creatures on the island will become harmless at random.

Raun: A tiny island found near Bergenvulcan, it contains a surprisingly vast array of life. Could potentially support a small pack, but it's mostly home to smaller animals.

Other Continents

Einskal: Also known as "The Mainland", virtually nothing is known about this mysterious continent, as it was completely deserted nearly 30,000 to 50,000 years ago. The legends say that it went through an extremely bad Ice age, leaving it uninhabitable. Even after all this time, no one has dared to venture far enough to find out of this land is habitable once again. Legends say that Einskal is nearly 1000 times bigger than the archipelago of Drokvira, which many creatures who live here can't believe. Most have brushed Einskal off as nothing more than a legend..... but who knows.
